1. Isn't the Communist Party against religion?

No. In fact people of many religions are members of the Party. Communists don't consider it a problem being religious and fighting for a better life here on earth. There is much common ground.

2. Is the CPUSA a legal organization?

Yes. The CPUSA is a public, legal political party. Unfortunately, the undemocratic legacy of the McCarthy years has left a residue of fear. But in recent years there has been a definite decline in anti-communism.

3. What is Marxism Lenninism?

That is the name of the science of the class struggle, named after two pioneers - Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. As with any science, there are also basic laws of development which are guideposts. Marx and Frederick Engels were the first to discover these guideposts, the basic laws of social development. Vladimir Lenin went on to develop the science further with discoveries of other social laws. Communists, the world over, study and add to this science through the collective struggle and experiences of the working class.

4. Do Communist Parties exist in other countries?

Just about every country in the world has a communist or workers' party. Communist Parties come out of the struggle of each country. The CPUSA was founded on the basis of the struggles and needs in the United States.

5. What will socialism be like?

Everyone who wants a job would have one. The large industries and banks would be democratically owned, controlled and run by the people, not by individuals who run them for personal proft. Everyone would be guaranteed a decent home, free medical care, free and equal public education and affirmative action to reverse centuries of discrimination. After all what is society for if not to guarantee the basic needs of all people?

Socialism will come to our country when the great majority of people make that decision. Socialism USA will have many advantanges. It will begin with a strong democratic tradition, including a tradition of a multi-party electoral system.

Each country develops socialism based on its own history, traditions and needs. There are no models. Socialism here will be a uniquely American socialist system. The CPUSA is an advocate of Bill of Rights socialism. A socialist USA will guarantee all the liberties defined, but never fully realized, in the Bill of Rights.
